Since the beginning of Chamber Ministries we have seen many lives changed and incredible blessings from the Lord. Chamber Ministries is able to put on activities because some have seen the need, believed in our vision, and felt the Lord directing them to give. The Lord has blessed us beyond what we could have imagined.
Recent Blessings:
Someone recently donated $900 to fix the air conditioner in the ministry van! What a huge blessing!
This year's 5K was a huge success! Check out some pictures here of the event!
Our trip to Cedar Point was a blast! Twelve students and three adults attended and had a wonderful, safe trip.
Our paintball activities this summer were very successfull. Congratulations to the team "Little Big D' for winning the tournament at Wilson Park!
Our desire is to bring the gospel message of Jesus to youth, and everything He has blessed us with has been used in the pursuit of that goal. However, presently we are not fully funded. There are three areas of support that we are still in need of:
Salary support:
Rick McGregor, the founder and director, works full time for the ministry and is currently supported at 66%. To supplement his income he works at a couple of part time jobs.
Activity support:
At some of our activities we charge a small admission price to cover a portion of the costs, but many of the activities we offer are free. Our activity support is at about 40%. As our activity support increases we will be able to offer more opportunities to the youth of the area.
Youth center support:
We have exciting news! We are currently in the process of renting space at the Community Center right in the center of Deckerville. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to be in a place that is easily accessible by the youth in this area. This will be a huge asset to accomplishing our goals for this community. With a youth center the ideas are limitless as to what we could offer to the youth of this community. We could have afterschool programs, weekend activities, pool tables, ping pong tables, community meals, live bands, movie nights, fundraisers and much more, all with the goal of sharing Christ with the community around us. Check out a few pictures of the work we're doing! Presently we are seeking to raise money to cover the monthly rent on this facility, as this is not included in our activities budget. We are looking to raise an additional $400 each month.
We also have many other items we would love to use in our ministry. Check out our needs page for specific items. Perhaps you have something sitting in your basement that you never use and would like to donate it to Chamber Ministries.
